Maryanne Oliver

Maryanne Oliver’s artwork is something new, fresh, evocative and extremely unique. Her style breathes fresh air in the art community and surely makes Australia proud to have such a talented artist hailing from the land down under.

Maryanne has been keeping busy and making you feel lazy. She realizes that hard work driven by passion and dedication has its benefits. In the last few weeks she has been a part of a huge online gallery which works with prominent artists and arranges ‘pop up’ shops all over Los Angeles, the “Swoon Gallery” has helped her exposure on the west coast. She is also a regular featured illustrator for Amelia Magazine (UK) and early in 2010 had illustrated designs for Bryce Aime, Andrew Majtenyi, Belle Sauvage and Charlie Le Mindu shows as part of the world famous London Fashion Week. Maryanne has even had her work displayed in Hong Kong and “That Gallery.”

Even though her and her work have been globe-trekking, she has still been putting in work in her home town of Brisbane, Australia. In 2008 her work was exhibited at the Joshua Levi Gallery. From 2006-2009 her work hung in the prominent ‘Tiffany Jones Fine Art’ in Buderim, sharing wall space with prominant Australian artist such as Pro Hart, Norman Lindsey and Maragret Olley. Not to mention the 12 months as an artist-in-residence at RAW gallery.

Don’t let her stacked resume blind you from the rest of her talents and goals, her portfolio is stacked with creativity and progression. Her future plans are no different. Maryanne has be collaborating with Avone (from Brooklyn’s ‘Destroy & Rebuild’) and though the two have had such mutual respect for each others artwork, they decided to take it farther and come together and do a show together.
