The Confession

First off Can I get a brief history of the band?

Matt and Kevin have been in bands since the beginning of high school then they finally joined forces in 2004 and created the confession with Jeff. Along came Jake and taylor and then we had a full line-up. Matt recorded one song they had at his local college and a certain someone heard it and before we knew it we were a signed band.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

Anything with talent creativity and originality

I noticed most of the songs on your EP are focused towards moving on from that demon woman who raped your heart. Did anyone in the band go through a bad relationship thus writing from experience?

I think we all have been through bad relationship and most people can relate, but as far as the lyrics in our music, Taylor wrote all of them.

You haven’t been around for that long, but do you have any good tour stories so far?

We have lots of great stories. One time our roadie put the whole mouth piece of a bong in his asshole then someone smoked it and got poo-mouth.

Nasty…I hope the juice was worth the squeeze. Do you guys have a favorite place to play yet?

Chain reaction in Anaheim …. the kids go off there

One of the things I noticed when I saw you guys play was that you were handing out the majority of your bottles of water to the fans that were getting into your music. I’ve been frequenting shows for years, and I have never seen a band do that before. Would you say that one of the biggest obligations you have is to your fans?

Of course, without a doubt

How was it playing with Avenged Sevenfold?

Those guys are all fun and great people to be around, so I would have to say it was rad.

How did you end up getting on the tour with Avenged?

One night we ended up partying with matt and sinister and we became good friends. It was pretty random but really cool.

What label will your full length be released on and when do you expect it to be out?

The Record Collection, fall 06′

What direction do you see your full length going in compared to your EP?

a lot more variety. More highs and lows. More definition. More skill. Better recording. better production. a vast array of talent.

Any last words?

take care of those you call your own.
