Cookin’ Soul

If you’re anything like me, you’ve exhausted tons of your favorite anthems due to overplaying them. This can be a difficult position to be in. It can feel a bit shallow when you toss your old favorite tracks aside for the newest single that’s got you going.  Rest assured, there is a way to combat this feeling. Discover the remix done right.

Spanish producer/DJ’s “Cookin’ Soul” do exactly what they are called. They cook old soul samples into delicious beats. They got their start at the end of 2005, and the following month they were in the studio with Nach, Spain’s most reputable and best selling artist. Shortly after this, their phone started ringing and before they knew it, they were apart of nearly everything going down in Spain’s music scene, including crafting music for the soundtrack of a Spanish film entitled, “Yo Soy La Juani” in 2006.

After conquering Spain, Cookin’ Soul decided they were going for world domination, and started making their way to the music scene in the US as well as in Japan.

The three men who comprise Cookin’ Soul; Big Size, Milton, and Zock were on the move fast. They quickly began doing numerous international radio interviews as well as starting to hook up with major US artists like: The Game, Max B, JR Writer, Currency, 40 Cal, DJ Doo Wop, Dipset Eurogang, CL Smooth, and Joell Ortiz, among others.

Cookin Soul’s main tracks all have the definitive soul style that makes Cookin’ Soul so special and addicting.

However, I got hooked on to Cookin Soul through their free mixtapes on their website. They have six mixtapes that offer amazing soul renditions of some of the greatest hits by 50 Cent, Nas, Jay-Z, AZ, Notorious BIG,  G-Unit, Juelz Santana, and many more. What are you waiting for? Go to www.cookinsoul.com and download all their mixtapes!
