Anthony Green has been the lead singer and a major contributor to many groundbreaking bands. After years as lead singer of the band Saosin, he has now moved onto to join the band Circa Survive. Though Anthony considers Circa Survive his primary focus, he has also founded many other side-project bands. His most prominent side-project, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, is a highly experimental group that pushes the boundaries of music and they way we understand it, or don’t. Soon after releasing the third album, The Ocean And The Sun, in Sep ’08, Anthony began recording a solo project. While most of the songs were written when he was still in high school, the album is a compilation of personal songs over of the past decade. With the help and support of friends, Green finished recording his solo album in eight days. Reaching shelves on Aug. 5th of ’08, Avalon became an instant favorite for his fans. The songs give a clear insight into his life rarely heard in Circa Survive.A true vocal and lyrical genius, Green lets fans in on the weakness of his habits, the stresses of the road, and how he sees himself. As always, the vocals are astounding. He creates a flow and rhythm that carries you along in every song.
