It took 4 years and a near death plane crash to bring them together, but they’re finally back.
At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Mark, Tom, and Travis appeared on stage together to announce the official return of Blink-182. While presenting an award, drummer Travis Barker assure the months of rumors and fan outcry stating, “We used to play music together, and we decided we’re going to play music together again.”
Since their break-up in 2005, chances of a return seemed more than doubtful. But in the months following Travis’s sever crash, the band set aside past problems to re-establish the band and their friendship.
“To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.”
Many fans are hoping to hear and even see their favorite band in 09’. No dates have been scheduled for a tour or album release date but there is speculation they will open for Green Day on a world tour. This coming album is sure to be their most anticipated yet.
